Day 01: Coming down to Kolkata/Delhi
As you reach Kolkata (land of Joy)/New Delhi, representatives will receive and transfer you to hotel. Enjoy a completely free day and do whatever you like.
Day 02: visiting the attractions for the full day
Seeing the sights of erstwhile British capital. It still depicts the reminiscence of the days of Raj in India. The night will be spent in this beautiful city.
Day 03: from Kolkata or Delhi to Rumtek
Catch your flight to Bagdogra in the morning and then get transferred to Rumtek after arriving there. Get a resort near the Monastery and spend the night in the Resort.
Day 04: Sightseeing of Gangtok
Get a walk and enjoy seeing the simplicity and cultural heritage of the nearby village. Buddhist religion is seen to be followed here and you will be taken to Rumtek Monastery (seat of Karmapa Lama who heads the Kagyupa sect of Buddhism). Here you will see the beautiful Thankas and then move on to your next destination Namgyal Institute of Tibetology,Tsuklakhang (The Royal Chapel), Ganesh Tok.
Day 05: Seeing Lachung
Through the twisty road you will move on to Lachung Valley in the morning. On the way you can visit the Kabi Lungchok, the historic battle field, Holy rock at Chungthang, said to be blessed by Guru Rimpoche and Phodong Monastery. At the end of 125km drive you will reach Lachung, located on the bank of river Lachung Chu. It is a small yet awfully beautiful valley and is being occupied by the Bhutia people.
Day 06: Lachung, Yumthung
Yumthung valley, a pasture land, situated at an altitude of 2500m will be visited in the early morning. It is adjoining to the Singba Forest Reserve and the way to it is lined up with beautiful family of Rhododendron, which blooms during the month of May. By moving a few hundred metres off the road you will cross the River Lachung over a pedestrian bridge and can see sulphur springs and bathing pools. Come back to Lachung in the late afternoon and stay here for the night.
Day 07: A day in Gangtok
You are free to explore the village after breakfast and then visit the Lachung Monastery. The village handicraft industry is another attraction and then in the afternoon you will be transferred back to Gangtok.
Day 08: In Ravangla
In the early morning your journey will start with a drive across the enigmatic countryside of Gangtok to the base of Menam Hill. It is a transit point of the trekkers to Menam & Borong Hill. Then visit the 235 years old Rolang Monastery which is built on the land blessed by Ninth Karmapa. Overnight to be spent in Resort.
Day 09: In Yuksom
Move on to Yuksom after breakfast and visit Tashiding Monastery, situated in a high ridge, amidst mountain and dense forest; on the way. No schedule for afternoon and take rest in hotel.
Day 10: One more day in Yuksom
In the morning we will walk past the small village to the Norbu Gang Chorten where you will get to see the coronation throne of the first Chogyal of Sikkim. After that have a walk around the village of this small unexplored hill station. Then move back to hotel.
Day 11: First day in Pelling
You will be driven to the next destination, Pelling (32km) in the morning and visit Khechopalri Lake (wishing lake) on the way. Spend the night in the resort of Pelling.
Day12: Second day in Pelling
A walk up to the second oldest monastery of Sikkim and Sanga-Choling Monastery through alpine family in the early morning. After that you will be back to visit the old and sacred Pemayangste Monastery, to discover its richness. By walking leisurely through the way you will reach the Rabdentse ruins the second capital Sikkim.
Day 13: Next destinations Rinchenpong, Kaluk
Leaving for Rinchenpong a small village in the Western District of Sikkim in the morning. Get your room in the Rinchenpong Village Resort and enjoy a home like envioronmemt in this calm and magnificent place.
Day 14: Going to Chitrey
Get ready and drive to Chitrey wayside Inn in the early morning and check in. Here you can enjoy the white water rafting in River Teesta and stay in the Inn for the night.
Day 15: Journey ends in Bagdogra/NJP
